Bonding Run 3rd Meeting

Oh my gosh... Captain Lim scratching his head lo. The planning, layout, arrangement, food, routes, weather, volunteers, etc etc had really made him lose some hairs. (Wonder he lose any sleep?)

We hand done our 2nd meeting get together last week and this week we finalised all the arrangement. So can be said 7788.

So what's in store for all participants? Food, alot of food, new routes, new atmosphere, new experience, maybe alot of new faces. There will be two routes. One 6.5km and the other 3km for the children. The 3km route will not go into the trek. And of course all are welcome to take the 6.5km route as half of the route is bond with nature. Vision yourself in an enviroment of concrete jungle to natural jungle and back again to civilization.

Come join the fun. How many volunteers are in this preparation? Give a wild guess.

Flyer

A beautiful sunday.
Morning heat from the sun streaming down.
But cool clear morning.

Captain Lim came early so is the rest of the team.

When I reached there, Klang Pacesetters members were already busy advertising and distributing flyers on the coming Brooks Pacesetters Bonding Run.
Eventhough most thought as a sales gimmick when we approaced them. But when we explained to them about the run and bonding phylosophy, most listen quite attentively. Overall the response was good. This served a very good awareness introduction that there is a good running club representative in Klang

We hope for a good response from the public on the Bonding Run day.

Bonding Run Trail Check II

Clap.. clap.. clap.. here comes our Captain Lim.

When I step out of the house with my kid at 7am, starting to drizzle. What the hack, jumped into the car n drove straight to the venue. I am #1 to reached n where was everybody. 10 mins later the convoy came n learned that their part of town was raining terribly heavy. So fortunate the venue is completely dry.

Do a few push ups and stretch stretch stretch n off we go. The left angle shows some slight pain due to some hard fast pace run last sunday. Run slow n enjoy the view.

Here a new member boosting feeling great so easy to accomplish a run but this is downhill la, that's why

On the return trip we will pass thru this beautiful gate. It never fail to make one for the album.

There you are! Captain Lim never fail to put you more weight again. Makan, makan, makan

Bonding Run Trail Check I

Z...z..z. oh today is Sunday n is still drizzling as today need to do a trail check for the bonding run route. A huge thunderstorm the night before made the room so cool. The handphone alarm start chirping at 6am. Get out of bed, washed my face n look out thru the window n shit ('shit applied to raining cats n dogs), it is drizzling heavier then expected n oooh-ya the trail check might be postpone. Switch on my NB (NB=notebook) n flipping thru some pages n ring..ring. Our Captain Lim is calling all for a line up.
A normal of 15 mins will reach the venue but today took 7 mins. Why so fast, Captain Lim will made us do a 100 push-ups? No, it just there was no traffic n amusingly all the traffic lights were green all the way. Captain Lim surprised us as some guests were invited. Met Poon, Ooi, and Liew. Slight drizzling, do some warm up n off we go.

And of course, Captain Lim again never fail to made us feel heavier. This time he took us to one of a very top 10 B.K.T in klang. sluurp... best. It seems this job is also his speciality. Way to go Captain.

23/4 Brooks Pacesetters Bonding Run Preparation

Minus breakfast, ha just kidding.

The 1st time held in klang and as expected to the Klang Pacesetters group who have not organise an event before, it sure many ??? and also make an impact on it.
Make it good give an impression and make it bad also give an impression. Either way the group is working hard on it and really surprised me that the Klang group responsed to voluteering and assistance to make this event a meaningful and successful one is so good.

Our Captain Lim prepared for all piranhas something to munch during his boring talk. Off course not la.. anyway just short of some blinking lights then it would be a wonderful party -

Asthma

Recently a friend of mine put a question to me. Can running cure or can reduce asthma attack? I thought it might, right?

So gang, need your assistance. Do anyone one of you knows any asthmatic person got well after engage in sports. Be it cycling or swimming or running.

Ching Ming Festival

To most Ching Ming send an eeerie feeling to them. The thoughts of skipping around in the old traditonal cementary as not to step onto anything that is their boarder is quite a kungfu. Nowadays, newer cemetary are systematically layout. Good signboard and walking path.

Why do we called it Ching Ming Festival. It is one of chinese festival of course. So be merry and cheerful on that day.

We have to go to Ipoh for this festival. Shoot down right after work on Saturday and stay at one of our close relative home. Wake up early like preparing for a morning run. Still dark when we reached the event place. This event was held in a groundnut town, that's menglembu. This year we enter through the main entrance as previously we snoop in from another side path.

At first glance of this photo, what came into your mind?

It is the well. As according to the old folks there this well is a hundred years old. The exterior had been repaired a few times. But a look into the well, you noticed it is indeed a very old well. The wall lining and the type of bricks used not seen before.

This year the place is exceptionally cleaned and tidy. All those at the event do not show any tearful expression and all really cheerful. So they say, you cheerful, ancestors cheerful and you will be bless with goodness. All those present on this eventful day do not show any tearful expression. You cheerful, ancestors cheerful ain't this a good sign.

Next stop is Sam Poh Tong. A popuplar place I think most of you all knows. The famous pamelo stalls at the entrance. In the old days the Ah-so and Ah-pak will man the business. Now young, beautiful salesgirl will jump out once a car stop beside the stalls to lure customers in. Further down half km is the Kuan-Yin temple. A cool, clean, quiet place for a stroll.

OK jobs done, what to do next, of course eat eat eat.

Found this shop in an alley right in front of Kong Heng Coffee Shop somewhere centre of Ipoh old town. Food is good? no comment. 6 dishes, 8 hungry piranha and it cost RM75. Slurp..
